Here is our why…

The Education Equalizer Foundation works with middle through high school students and their families to demystify the college admittance process and provide scholars with the necessary tools to graduate. The need is significant for first-generation, minority, and Black students, especially those in our headquartered state of Florida.

According to the ASCA, the recommended students to guidance counselors ratio is 250:1; however, the national average is 408:1.

Per the Helios Foundation, Just 41% of those who identify as Black- received support in high school on addressing their basic needs in college.
Per education data, Four years after graduation, 48% of Black students owe an average of 6% more than they borrowed.
Per education data, Black and African American college graduates owe an average of $25,000 more in student loan debt than White college graduates.
