GAINESVILLE, FL (EEF News) — The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF) will host its signature Million Dollar Scholar Brunch on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Open Doors Ministry in Gainesville, FL. This annual celebration will honor 19 exceptional scholars who have collectively earned over one million dollars in college scholarships and secured multiple college acceptances. Notably, one scholar will begin their post-graduation journey by serving in the United States Marine Corps, following in the footsteps of EEF co-founder Dr. Kerwin Scott, a proud Marine Corps veteran.

“As a proud Marine, I know firsthand the discipline, resilience, and purpose that comes with service,” said Dr. Kerwin Scott, co-founder of The Education Equalizer Foundation. “It’s an incredible honor to see one of our scholars take that same path. Whether they’re heading to college or the military, our goal is to equip each student with the confidence to lead, serve, and succeed.”

This year’s honorees are:
Aniyah Richardson, Ariel Vanterpool, Aryin King, Bethany Anderson, Camden McLeod, Caden Christopher Griggs, Cedric Jackson, Dazzlyn Williams, Destini Williams, Emaney Hicks, Garrison Chase Green, Ginai Slater, Ieve Rentz, Jewel Smith, Kourtney Hutchinson, Micah Reed, Myla Chilongo, Tammie Lynn, and Trinity Jackson.
In addition to recognizing these student leaders, with college send off gifts EEF will present three distinguished scholarships in the following categories:
• Most Improved ACT/SAT Test Score
• Most Scholarships Earned
• Most College Acceptances

This inspiring event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Monique Belin, a renowned advocate for educational equity and student empowerment. Her message will uplift and encourage both scholars and supporters.
EEF will also honor two outstanding community partners — Antoinette Davis and Dr. Rik Stevenson — for their continued dedication to expanding access, guidance, and resources for students across Florida.
“This brunch is more than a celebration — it’s a movement,” said Dr. Carjie Scott, Founder of The Education Equalizer Foundation. “Our scholars are powerful reminders of what’s possible when young people are given the support they need to thrive. We honor their achievements and the village that has walked alongside them.”
