GAINESVILLE, FL. (EEF News) – Drs. Kandra Albury, Board Chairman, and Carjie Scott, CEO, and Founder, attended the Partnership for Reimagining Gainesville (PRG) annual celebration at Howard Bishop Middle School. PRG is a model for community-based collaboration and meaningful impact that aims to help empower community leaders to solve complex social problems. “I am thrilled that The Education Equalizer Foundation is a member of this program. Our founders Drs. Kerwin and Carjie Scott and our working board of directors are passionate about college success,” said Dr. Kandra Albury. PRG facilitates partnerships, identifies and supports impact-focused projects, and provides micro-grant funding, technical assistance, and social networking resources. The community foundation of North Central Florida serves as the coordinating entity for the PRG fund.
The Education Equalizer Foundation is a PRG reimagineer, and its’ College Prep 101 is a community impact project which receives support from PRG. Several reimagineers, such as MOTIV8U of North Central Florida, GNV Bridge Literacy program, and Education Access Partnership, presented their work in the community during the event. Next, the PRG team provided a comprehensive overview of their services and offered interactive workshops to reimagineers and potential reimagineers to help them learn how to sustain their businesses.
