GAINESVILLE, FL (EEF News): We are excited to announce two major milestones for The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF)! We are now proud members of both the National College Attainment Network (NCAN) and the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce.
Our new membership with NCAN strengthens our mission to provide equitable college access and success for students, particularly those from underserved communities. As part of NCAN, EEF is connected to a national network of organizations dedicated to improving college attainment. Through this partnership, we will gain access to invaluable resources, advocacy efforts, and shared best practices, allowing us to expand further our College Preparation, Access, and Student Support (PASS) programs, ACT/SAT test prep initiatives, and college tours.

In addition to NCAN, EEF has joined the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, allowing us to forge stronger ties within our local business community. This membership will enable us to work closely with local leaders, fostering collaborations that will enhance our efforts to support students in Alachua and Lake Counties.
Dr. Carjie Scott, Founder and President of The Education Equalizer Foundation, shared her excitement about these new opportunities:
“These partnerships mark a pivotal moment for EEF. Our membership in NCAN allows us to tap into a national network focused on helping students from underserved communities achieve success in higher education. Being a part of the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce also strengthens our local ties and deepens our impact in the community we serve. Together, we are working to ensure that every student, regardless of background, can reach their fullest potential.”
Dr. Kerwin Scott, Co-Founder of EEF and a driving force behind the foundation’s health initiatives, added:
“We’ve always believed in the power of collaboration. These new partnerships will help us provide even more opportunities for students to succeed academically and beyond. As a foundation, we are committed to making sure students have the support, guidance, and resources they need to navigate their college journey and thrive in life.”

Together, these memberships represent a significant step forward for EEF as we continue to bridge the equity gap in higher education. Our foundation is committed to ensuring that more students get to and through college, and these partnerships will empower us to make an even greater impact, both locally and nationally.
We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our community, partners, and donors. With the backing of NCAN and the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, we are more energized than ever to fulfill our mission of educational equity and success for all students.
