National (EEF News) — The Education Equalizer Foundation, in proud partnership with the Common Black College Application (CBCA), is pleased to announce the Education Equalizer Healthcare Scholars Award—a $250 scholarship designed to support high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in healthcare and enroll at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) through the CBCA platform.
This scholarship reflects our shared commitment to expanding access, reducing barriers, and preparing the next generation of leaders in health and wellness—especially those who choose to study at institutions built to empower and uplift Black scholars.
“This scholarship represents more than just financial support—it’s a symbol of what’s possible when students are given the tools, encouragement, and access to pursue higher education on their terms. I’ve seen firsthand how these scholars rise when we believe in them, and I’m proud to be part of a program that helps pave their path to HBCUs and careers in healthcare.”

Advancing Access and Opportunity
Since its founding, The Education Equalizer Foundation has focused on three pillars: Preparation, Access, and Student Support. Through College PASS and national test prep programs, EEF equips scholars with the tools they need to transition confidently from high school to higher education.
The Common Black College Application shares in this mission by streamlining the college admissions process—allowing students to apply to over 60 HBCUs for one low fee. This partnership recognizes the power of collaboration in closing opportunity gaps and reinforcing the pipeline of Black students entering healthcare professions.
Looking Ahead
With the rising demand for culturally competent care and community-based health leadership, more students must be prepared and empowered to pursue careers in healthcare. HBCUs have a proud legacy of training professionals in various fields, including medicine, nursing, dentistry, psychology, and beyond.
The Education Equalizer Healthcare Scholars Award is a direct investment in that legacy—and in the scholars who will carry it forward.
Applications open soon. Students are encouraged to begin preparing their video submissions and gathering enrollment documents. More information will be made available through The Education Equalizer Foundation’s website and social media platforms.
Together, the Education Equalizer Foundation and the Common Black College Application are building a stronger, healthier, and more equitable future—one scholar at a time.
