GAINESVILLE, FL (EEF News): The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF) is thrilled to announce our participation in FAFSA Week of Action, a national initiative aimed at helping students and families take the first critical step toward securing financial aid for college. As an organization committed to guiding students through their college journey, we’re excited to share how we engage our scholars and community during this important week.
On December 9, EEF will host an FSA ID station at the University of Florida as part of our “Bowling, Karaoke, and Campus Tour” event. This interactive event will provide students and families one-on-one assistance in creating their FSA IDs, a crucial step for completing the FAFSA. With laptops available and knowledgeable staff on-site, attendees will receive hands-on guidance to make the process seamless.
We’ll also distribute valuable resources, including:
- 2025-26 FAFSA Pro Tips
- A guide to managing StudentAid.gov accounts
- Information about the Parent Wizard to help determine parental participation in the FAFSA process
Throughout the week, EEF will launch a digital campaign across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This campaign will feature FAFSA FAQs, success stories from our scholars, and actionable tips for families navigating the FAFSA process.
Our goal extends beyond direct support—we aim to empower our 25 scholars to become peer leaders in FAFSA completion. These students will share their FAFSA knowledge with classmates, encouraging them to complete their applications and directing them to our social media campaign for additional support.
EEF also invites our scholars to participate in upcoming virtual events hosted by the Department of Education and the National College Attainment Network (NCAN). These events will offer expert guidance and additional resources to ensure our students are well-prepared to maximize their financial aid opportunities.

Through our College PASS program, EEF is actively working with 25 high school seniors in Alachua County. Sixty percent of these students have already been admitted to college, while others await decisions. By helping these students complete their FAFSA forms, we aim to ensure they secure the funding needed to succeed in higher education.
We’re planning visits to area high schools in Alachua and Lake counties in early 2025 to speak with classrooms about completing the FAFSA. This proactive outreach will further extend our support to students and families in our community.

FAFSA Week of Action is an incredible opportunity to empower students and families to take charge of their futures. At EEF, we are proud to be part of this initiative, ensuring every student has the tools and resources needed to navigate the financial aid process.
Stay connected with us throughout the week on our social media platforms as we share resources, success stories, and updates from our efforts. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our scholars’ paths to college success!
