A Legacy in Motion: The Million Dollar Scholar Brunch 2026

Gainesville, FL (EEF News) — On Saturday, April 18, 2026, The Education Equalizer Foundation will host our annual Million Dollar Scholar Brunch: College Send Off Event at the Santa Fe College Blount Center from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Over the past four years, our scholars have earned more than $10 million in scholarships — but behind every dollar is discipline, strategy, sacrifice, and growth.

The Million Dollar Scholar Brunch is our moment to celebrate that journey.

More Than a Celebration

This event honors every scholar who committed to the College PASS process — the essays rewritten, the test prep sessions completed, the deadlines met, the financial aid forms submitted, and the courage it took to apply boldly.

It is a space where families who once felt overwhelmed now feel empowered.
Where students who once doubted themselves now walk confidently into their future.

But this brunch is not just about applause.

It is about preparation and progress.

Supporting the Transition to College

As our seniors prepare to step onto their college campuses, we want them to feel supported beyond recognition.

Each senior scholar will receive:

College Dorm Package to help ease their transition into campus life

EEF Scholar Sweater, symbolizing their commitment, perseverance, and journey through the College PASS program

These gifts represent our continued investment in their success — not just at acceptance, but through enrollment and beyond.

Celebrating All Scholars. Highlighting Excellence.

While the Million Dollar Scholar Brunch celebrates every participating scholar, we will present cash scholarship awards recognizing exceptional achievement in three key areas:

Most Scholarships Earned
Most College Acceptances
Largest Standardized Test Score Gains

These recognitions honor both outcomes and effort.

Because success is not only about where you finish — it is about how far you’ve grown, how consistently you prepared, and how boldly you pursued opportunity.

Keynote Speaker

We are honored to welcome Dr. Kerwin Scott as this year’s keynote speaker.

Dr. Scott is the owner of Clermont Periodontics and Implant Center, a United State Marine Veteran, a graduate of Meharry Medical College and the University of Florida, and a devoted husband and father of two. His journey reflects discipline, service, and excellence — the very values we instill in our scholars.

His message will challenge our students to think beyond the acceptance letter and to step into college with purpose and confidence.
