Meet Our Million Dollar Scholar Keynote Speaker: Dr. Kerwin Scott

Gainesville, FL (EEF News) — The Education Equalizer Foundation is proud to welcome Dr. Kerwin Scott as the keynote speaker for the 2026 Million Dollar Scholar Brunch. Dr. Scott’s journey embodies the very values we instill in our scholars — discipline, preparation, resilience, and excellence.

A Legacy of Breaking Barriers

Dr. Scott is the owner of Clermont Periodontics and Implant Center and a respected leader in his field. His academic and professional path reflects determination at the highest level.

He is a graduate of Meharry Medical College, a premier historically Black medical institution known for producing leaders in healthcare. He furthered his advanced training at the University of Florida, where he made history as the first African American male to graduate from his program.

His achievement represents more than personal success — it represents perseverance, excellence, and the courage to step into spaces where representation matters.

More Than a Professional — A Leader at Home and in Community

Beyond his clinical accomplishments, Dr. Scott is a devoted husband and father of two. His life reflects balance — commitment to family, service to community, and dedication to professional excellence.

He understands firsthand that preparation opens doors — but character sustains success.

Why His Message Matters for Our Scholars

As students prepare to transition from high school to college, they are entering a season that will require maturity, discipline, and focus.

Dr. Scott’s keynote will challenge our scholars to:

  • Embrace excellence in every environment
  • Lead with integrity
  • Compete boldly and confidently
  • Understand that preparation is the foundation of opportunity

His story reinforces what the College PASS program teaches — that intentional preparation changes trajectories.

We look forward to the wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration Dr. Scott will bring to this year’s Million Dollar Scholar Brunch.
