The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF) will host its signature Million Dollar Scholar Brunch on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Open Doors Ministry in Gainesville, FL. This annual celebration will honor 18 exceptional scholars who have collectively earned over one million dollars in college scholarships and secured multiple college acceptances. Notably, one scholar will begin their post-graduation journey by serving in the United States Marine Corps, following in the footsteps of EEF co-founder Dr. Kerwin Scott, a proud Marine Corps veteran.

The Million Dollar Scholar Brunch is more than just a celebration—it’s a testament to the power of education, opportunity, and perseverance. This year, we are honored to welcome Dr. Monique R. Belin, DMD, as our keynote speaker. A leader in dentistry, an advocate for education, and a champion for African American families, Dr. Belin embodies the values and mission of The Education Equalizer Foundation.

The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF) will celebrate the achievements of outstanding leaders and students at the upcoming Million Dollar Scholar Brunch on April 19, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Open Door Ministries in Gainesville, Florida. This year, EEF will honor Dr. Rik Stevenson and Ms. Antoinette Davis for their dedication to education, mentorship, and community impact.

Dr. Carjie Scott had the honor of speaking to young scholars at the Youth Leadership Institute, hosted by the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Greater Bethel AME Church in Gainesville, Florida. It was her second time engaging with these bright young minds, and the experience was just as inspiring.

HBCU Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the rich legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in empowering generations of students. A shining example of this legacy is the collaboration between The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF) and the Common Black College Application (CBCA). This partnership has opened doors to higher education for countless students, resulting in thousands of scholarships and multiple acceptances to HBCUs.

In honor of HBCU Week, let’s celebrate a moment when The Education Equalizer Foundation (EEF) and the Jack and Jill of America Pensacola Chapter joined forces to inspire the next generation of college-bound students. This partnership resulted in a College Empowerment Tour, providing middle and high school students with a unique opportunity to explore higher education pathways at three prominent universities, including Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).
